Our MQBS3010 capstone unit required us to choose a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, and create a business addressing this.
As a group, we chose Goal 4 - Quality Education.
The task required us to:

Cross collaborate across different commerce disciplines, leveraging our individual expertise to present a feasible project.

Address how our business will contribute towards achieving the UNSDG.

Be profitable, with a rate of return above the current growth of GDP in Australia, or 3%, whichever is higher.
BRAINY BEES.
Our business, Brainy Bees, addresses quality education by selling originally published, high-quality textbooks for primary aged students in Australia. Textbooks can be purchased through an e-commerce platform. Once finished or the school year has ended, students and parents are able to return their textbooks to Brainy Bees through a 'buy-back' scheme, receiving credit for their next purchase. The returned textbooks are then redistributed by Brainy Bees to students and schools of disadvantaged or lower socio-economic areas, repurposing these textbooks and giving them a new life. The sustainable practice allows all students in Australia to access high-quality education, through affordable and accessible methods, whilst maintaining the sustainability of the planet.
